Who: 195 girls from 13 classes, their running buddies, parents and coaches
When: May 10 at 9 am
Where: Greenbury Point Annapolis Maryland
Why: To celebrate 10 ½ weeks of conversations, training, friendships and team building
How: With your help! We need race day volunteers, Running Buddies for the girls, and race committee volunteers.

Race Day Volunteers:
- Help us do everything from park cars to hand out medals. Email us if you are interested in learning more!
- Download Volunteer Flyer for specific information about the jobs and times needed or to pass on to other organizations.
Running buddy:
- complete a running buddy application and background check form
- participation in the Wondergirl 5k is contingent on a clean background check
- Running or walking with your participant at the 5k,cheering her on helping her to do her very best- If you would like to be a running buddy or have more questions please email us
Race Committee Volunteers:
The Race Committee organizes, plans and implements race day activities. This committee works hand in hand with the GOTR Staff to ensure a successful Girls on the Run season!
- Interested in planning and organizing events
- Attendance at monthly meetings and events
- Capability to solicit donations, market Girls on the Run and personally network
- Desire to recruit, train and retain volunteers
Time Commitment
- 1 year commitment
- First Meeting, 2 hours
- Once a month for 1- 2 hours
- 3 hours the Friday before the race
